Loomis has gone 8-2 against Arapahoe recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Wolves will take on the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Arapahoe took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Loomis, who comes in off a win.
On Thursday, Loomis was able to grind out a solid victory over Elm Creek, taking the game 2-0. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Buffaloes recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Loomis easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-11.
Addison Perry was the offensive standout of the contest as she had seven digs and three aces. Clydie Kegley also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
Meanwhile, Arapahoe unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to Southwest. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Warriors have suffered since August 29th.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-13, 25-16.
Loomis' victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Arapahoe, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's match: Loomis has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 5.4 aces per game. However, it's not like Arapahoe struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.3 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Loomis skirted past Arapahoe 2-1 in their previous meeting on September 9th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
