The Redding Christian Lions will head out on the road to take on the Paradise Bobcats at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Neither Redding Christian nor Paradise posted many goals in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.
Redding Christian's last contest on Wednesday was all defense as neither team scored a goal. They and Hamilton finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time Redding Christian has been dealt a draw since back in January.
Meanwhile, Paradise has been struggling as of late, and they have yet to win a game this season. They played to a draw too, finishing 0-0 against Maxwell. After a 10-1 finish the last time they played, Paradise and Maxwell decided to play a little more cautiously this time around.
Redding Christian's draw gives them a new season record of 7-6-3. As for Paradise, they moved theirs to 0-11-1.
Redding Christian took their win against Paradise in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 4-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Redding Christian since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
