The Pearsall Mavericks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight loss. They took a 58-40 bruising from Carrizo Springs. Pearsall lost against Carrizo Springs in their previous head to head on January 2nd, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 56-16 score last time.
Adisyn Reyes continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Carrizo Springs, scoring 26 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Reyes has scored at least a third of Carrizo Springs' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Melanie Davila, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Pearsall dropped their record down to 7-19 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Carrizo Springs, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-11.
Pearsall will head out on the road to face off against Pleasanton at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carrizo Springs, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Floresville at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
