Marshall Academy has won three straight games at home, while West Union has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Patriots will welcome the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Monday.
On Friday, Marshall Academy got the win against Memphis University School by a conclusive 15-8.

Cohen Lundine was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2025. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gage Todd, who went 2-for-4 with three runs and two RBI. Cash Redding was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, West Union put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Saturday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand East Union a 9-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won eight games by eight runs or more so far this season.
Like Marshall Academy, West Union also got a great game from a two-way player: John Grey Morrison. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. Grey Morrison has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Tyson Henry was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jaxon Herod, who went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases and one run.
West Union always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .550 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Marshall Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-12. As for West Union, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Marshall Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like West Union struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Marshall Academy couldn't quite get it done against West Union in their previous meeting last Friday as they fell 6-3. Will the Patriots have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
