Baptist Prep won the last time they faced Parkview and things went their way  on Friday too. The Eagles were the clear victors by  a  17-3 margin over the Patriots. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won nine contests by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Andrew Mashburn tossed a big game,   striking out six batters over  4.2 innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   five  hits. That's the most  strikeouts  he has posted since back in March.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Nolan Boyette, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and four  RBI. Those  four  RBI gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Nick Boyette, who  got on base  in four of his five plate appearances with three  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  RBI.
Baptist Prep's victory bumped their record up to 12-6-1. As for Parkview, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-14.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Baptist Prep will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against St. Joseph at 4:30  p.m.  on May 5. As for Parkview, they will welcome Benton  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
