The Burbank Titans will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Chavez Titans at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. Hopefully Burbank focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Burbank was the victim of a rough 75-51 loss at the hands of Christian Brothers. Burbank has not had much luck with Christian Brothers recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite their loss, Burbank saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Matthew Robinson, who scored 16 points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Paris Clay, who scored 15 points along with 5 rebounds.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Chavez beat East Union 46-40 on Tuesday. The win was just what Chavez needed coming off of a 81-53 loss in their prior game.
Their wins bumped Burbank to 5-3 and Christian Brothers to 7-3.
Burbank and Chavez were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, but Burbank came up empty-handed after a 53-52 loss. Can Burbank avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
