The DuPont Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Tatnall Hornets at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: DuPont has struggled recently with seven defeats in a row, while Tatnall will arrive with five straight victories.
Last Friday, DuPont was beaten by McKean 43-8. That's two games in a row now that DuPont has lost by exactly 35 points.
Meanwhile, Tatnall humbled Tower Hill with a 55-7 victory. The result was nothing new for Tatnall, who have now won five contests by 22 points or more so far this season.
Rahshan Lamons continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 165 yards and five touchdowns on only 15 carries, while also throwing for 75 yards and a touchdown while completing 75% of his passes. Lamons is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played. Micah Stamper was in the mix too, providing Tatnall with two touchdowns.
DuPont's loss was their fourth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-6. Sadly, the team can't blame their woes on tough opposition, as that stretch included 1-5 McKean and 1-5 Christiana (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 38.3% over those games). As for Tatnall, their win on Saturday bumped their record up to 5-1.
