Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (57), Aquin Catholic still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Aquin Catholic saw an underclassman step up: Paityn London almost dropped a double-double on 25 points and nine rebounds. That was a full 41.7% of Aquin Catholic's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Megan Holder, who scored seven points along with four steals.
Aquin Catholic's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-6. As for Lena-Winslow, they pushed their record up to 19-9 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Aquin Catholic won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Dakota at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th. Aquin Catholic has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 182 points over their last three matchups. Lena-Winslow is on the road again on Thursday and plays Durand at 7:00 p.m. on February 8th. Lena-Winslow is facing Durand at the right time seeing as Durand is stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
