Basketball Recap: Brady Mance's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Pleasant Ridge over Riverside [Wathena/Elwood]

Pleasant Ridge lost against Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] back in February of 2018 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pleasant Ridge Rams took a 61-43 bruising from the Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] Cyclones. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pleasant Ridge lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Brady Mance, who posted ten points in addition to six rebounds and five blocks. Mance is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last five games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hudson Hockett, who had eight points and six rebounds.

Pleasant Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Riverside [Wathena/Elwood], their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pleasant Ridge will head out to challenge Jefferson County North at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pleasant Ridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56 points per game this season. As for Riverside [Wathena/Elwood], they are taking a road trip to take on Oskaloosa on Saturday.
