The Mica Mountain Thunderbolts lost against the Flowing Wells Caballeros back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Mica Mountain took a 54-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Flowing Wells. Mica Mountain has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Mica Mountain still got an impressive performance from Isabella Webb, who dropped a triple-double on 14 points, 16 rebounds, and 10 assists. Webb scored a full 28% of Mica Mountain's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Kayla Mathie was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
Mica Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Flowing Wells, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mica Mountain will take on Pueblo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Pueblo focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Saturday. As for Flowing Wells, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Douglas at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
