Basketball Recap: Whitharral Piles Up the Points Against All Saints Episcopal School

Whitharral won the last time they faced All Saints Episcopal School and things went their way on Friday too. The Whitharral Panthers blew past the All Saints Episcopal School Patriots, posting a 65-22 win. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 26 points or more this season.

Leading Whitharral to victory were Paige Smith and Madi Chavez. Smith went 12 of 25 on her way to 27 points and seven steals, while Chavez went 8 of 13 on her way to 18 points in addition to six assists and five steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Smith has scored at least a third of Whitharral's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sheridan Neal, who posted ten points and three steals.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Whitharral was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as All Saints Episcopal School only posted two assists.

Despite the loss, All Saints Episcopal School saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Shelby Rivas had nine points.

Whitharral is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 38.7 points. As for All Saints Episcopal School, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Whitharral wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 79-34 victory against Lockney on the 14th. As for All Saints Episcopal School, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 40-19 win against Crosbyton on the 14th.
