There's no place like home for Thornton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 26-0 margin over Aurora Central on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for Thornton, who have now won four games by 26 points or more so far this season.

The critical scores for Thornton came from Ada Xu and London Lor.

Thornton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Olivia Mateo and Dayanis Holguin. Thornton got some further help from Zhane Moore: she picked up four sacks and made four total tackles.

Thornton's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Aurora Central, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-8.

Thornton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 15-6 victory against Mountain Range on the 27th. Aurora Central has also already played their next matchup (against Eagle Ridge Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
