Eastmark waltzed into their match on Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They never let the Combs Coyotes get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-1 on Tuesday.

Andrea Fletcher made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ella Larned, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Makenzie Bozeman, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Eastmark always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .579. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Combs only posted an OBP of .167.

Eastmark pushed their record up to 16-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Combs, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.

Eastmark will challenge Walden Grove at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. The Red Wolves' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Firebirds' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Combs, they will face off against ALA - Gilbert North at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Coyotes are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
