Dexter faced Albuquerque in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Demons took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Demons' loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Hannah Sanders was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Melody Duran, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Dexter's defeat dropped their record down to 19-2. As for Albuquerque, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Dexter will host Sandia Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Albuquerque, they are taking a road trip to face off against Los Lunas at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
