Pathway Christian scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 82-62 margin over Varsity Opponent. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Pathway Christian has posted since December 8, 2023.
It was another big night for Denver Nelson, who scored 24 points along with nine assists and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Yutzy, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Pathway Christian's victory bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Varsity Opponent, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost 14 of their last 15 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 307-1181-2 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pathway Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Faith Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th. As for Varsity Opponent, they will face off against Sumter Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
