The Arizona College Prep Knights will head out on the road to take on the Horizon Huskies at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Arizona College Prep is coming into the match hot, having won their last 14 games.
Arizona College Prep barely beat Chaparral the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights blew past the Firebirds 10-2 on Thursday. Considering the Knights have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Liliana Gagnon tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Arizona College Prep got a massive performance out of Shelby O'Donnal, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. Those five RBI gave O'Donnal a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Daphne Rogers, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Horizon can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game last Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Notre Dame Prep 6-4.
Pierson Hozza spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 12 Ks. Those 12 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
At the plate, Kaia Stephens was excellent, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.
Arizona College Prep's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.7 runs over those games. As for Horizon, their record is now 7-5.
Arizona College Prep's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's game. The Knights have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Horizon, though, as they've been averaging only 0.8 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Arizona College Prep continue to outrun the ball?
