Westfall and Adena are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Mustangs will head out on the road to square off against the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
On Friday, Westfall had just enough and edged out Zane Trace 7-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

| 04/13/26 vs Southeastern | 5 |
Adrina Hicks made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Westfall let Kaylynn Arthurs and Aubrey Caudy run wild. Arthurs went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run, while Caudy went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave Caudy a new career-high. Olivia Zarbaugh was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Westfall was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Zane Trace only posted a batting average of .290.
Meanwhile, Adena posted their closest win since May 8, 2025 on Wednesday. They skirted past Southeastern 6-4. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Braelyn Ratzlaff was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Marly Halcomb, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Westfall now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Adena, their record now sits at 8-5.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. Westfall hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Adena struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.9 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Westfall couldn't quite get it done against Adena in their previous meeting on April 2nd as they fell 13-9. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
