Owensboro Catholic's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hailee Johnson, who scored nine points along with four steals. Johnson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Randolph, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Frederick Fraize bumped their record down to 2-5 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 12.3 points per game. As for Owensboro Catholic, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.
Frederick Fraize's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Cannelton at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th. Owensboro Catholic is on the road again on Thursday and play against Trinity at 7:30 p.m. on January 4th. Trinity is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
