After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tonawanda, East Aurora was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Kennedy Bears as they made off with an 11-5 win. Considering the Blue Devils have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Sage Rozanski spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on three hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Caelan Legg was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Gallo, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
East Aurora hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive games.
