Naugatuck came tearing into Thursday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the St. Paul Catholic Falcons. The Greyhounds have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Falcons, too.
Colton Hofmann and Kevin Cestari made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Hofmann tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Cestari didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched.
