The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ontario Christian in their matchups with Aquinas: they've now lost seven in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Ontario Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alex Yang. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Cole Jones, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Ontario Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Aquinas, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-10.
Ontario Christian will look to defend their home court on Friday against Arrowhead Christian at 7:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Arrowhead Christian is ranked 262nd, while Ontario Christian is ranked 243rd). As for Aquinas, they will head out on the road to challenge Woodcrest Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Woodcrest Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six games -- so hopefully Aquinas likes a good challenge.
