The Northgate Broncos's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 73-44 loss at the hands of Lincoln. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Northgate has scored all season.
Northgate lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Grayson Boustead, who scored ten points. Boustead is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was David Harris, who scored ten points.
Anthony Moore continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lincoln, scoring 16 points along with six steals. Quentin Thompson was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with three steals.
Northgate's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Lincoln, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northgate will take on the Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Mt. Diablo will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1037th, while the Broncos are ranked 201st). As for Lincoln, they will be playing at home against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Tokay is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
