Highland typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Chatham proved too difficult a challenge. They blew past the Huskies 8-1. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.

Chatham let Logan Smalley and Thomas Pierro run wild. Smalley went 2-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Pierro went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Those three hits gave Pierro a new career-high.

The win made it two in a row for Chatham and bumps their season record up to 11-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Highland, the defeat snapped their winning streak at nine games and leaves them with a 10-2 record.

Chatham wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 8-3 win against Coxsackie-Athens on the 7th. As for Highland, they have also already played their next contest, a 12-2 victory against Ellenville on the 7th.
