The Silver Valley Trojans waltzed into Friday's matchup with three straight wins but they left with four. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Apple Valley Christian 87-5 at home. Silver Valley might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three games by 26 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Jaden Sassone, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 10 rebounds. Sassone is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Stephen Crawford, who scored 11 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals.
Silver Valley's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Apple Valley Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Silver Valley will look to defend their home court on Monday against Hesperia Christian at 6:00 p.m. Hesperia Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1059th, while Silver Valley is ranked 380th). As for Apple Valley Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Excelsior Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Excelsior Charter is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.
