Basketball Recap: Middle College Extends Winning Streak to Three

Middle College extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Gabrielle Rudd. The Middle College Bulldogs put the hurt on the Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering Phoenix with a sharp 51-29 victory on Tuesday thanks in part to Rudd, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten boards. She has become a key player for Middle College: the team is 10-1 when she posts at least ten rebounds, but 3-6 otherwise.

Another player making a difference was Kiya Mell, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 16 times she's played.

When it comes to explaining why Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering lost, don't look at London Dyson. Despite the final result, she posted eight points and three blocks.
