The Westwood Warriors's game on Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 38-36 win over Shadow Mountain. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Westwood also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Shadow Mountain's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cory Lamb-Jones, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. Lamb-Jones scored a full 27.8% of Shadow Mountain's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Pierce Rogers was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 9 rebounds.
The victory got Westwood back to even at 3-3. As for Shadow Mountain, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westwood will challenge Boulder Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Shadow Mountain, they will head out on the road to face off against Lee Williams at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
