They put the hurt on the Nighthawks with a sharp 12-2 win. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by ten runs or more this season.
Addison Beal made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ashlyn Petty, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Lilly Greenstock, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Western Alamance kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Graham has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Western Alamance, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
