Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Chula Vista Spartans walked away with it. They took down Olympian 27-10 on Friday. Winning may never get old, but Chula Vista sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Paul Alvarez was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 104 yards and two touchdowns.
Chula Vista's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28 points. As for Olympian, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Chula Vista will square off against Westview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Olympian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
