The Howland Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Lakeview 66-41. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Howland has managed all season.
Howland had a senior duo take command as John Perry dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds and Alex Henry scored 13 points along with five rebounds. Perry also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Chris Fenton, who scored eight points along with five assists.
Lakeview's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryan Gee, who scored nine points. Kyle Senkowitz was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.
The victory got Howland back to even at 3-3. As for Lakeview, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-1.
Howland will head out on the road to face off against East at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Howland in Ohio (East is ranked 168th, while Howland is ranked 355th). Lakeview will be home for the holidays to greet South Range at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Range will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
