Pottsville extended the longest winning streak in 4A Region 4 this week by beating Dover, 50-14. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Apaches.
Dardanelle led the league in scoring this week by notching 54 points on Waldron.
Maumelle's Tyshun RObinson and Jim B Minix led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback RObinson has thrown for 144 yards this season, while Minix has 3 catches for 43 yards. Pottsville's Michael Perry leads the league in rushing yards with 244.
Two of the top units in 4A Region 4 will face off this week when Bryan Rust's team takes on the Hornets. The Apaches' offense has scored 57 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while Maumelle has allowed only 53 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Pottsville takes on Mike Buchan's team. The Apaches are currently in first, while the Hornets are in third.
There should be lots of points scored when Pottsville and Maumelle face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Apaches comes in having scored 57 this season, while the Hornets have scored 35. Pottsville scored 50 points last week as it topped the Pirates.
