Coshocton snuck past West Muskingum with a 55-50 victory. Given Coshocton's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 273rd, while West Muskingum is ranked 590th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Coshocton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Colton Conkle, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Conkle has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. Gage Wright was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Coshocton and bumps their season record up to 8-3. As for West Muskingum, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Coshocton will look to defend their home court on Friday against Morgan at 7:30 p.m. As for West Muskingum, they will head out on the road to challenge Crooksville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Crooksville is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
