Tygarts Valley is a perfect 6-0 against Webster County since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. Tygarts Valley is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 20-9 margin over Moorefield on Friday. Considering the Bulldogs have won seven matchups by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Jacob Wamsley was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs, four runs, and five RBI while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Avery Row-Sponaugle was a standout: he went 2-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Moore, who went 2-for-5 with three runs and four RBI.
Tygarts Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Webster County sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over Mount View on Friday.
Maddox Brown spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Webster County is 4-2 when he allows at most one walk, but 2-8 otherwise.
At the plate, Issac Snyder was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Greyden Channel was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one run.
Tygarts Valley's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-7. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.4 runs over those games. As for Webster County, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.
Webster County's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Tygarts Valley has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.2 hits per game. It's a different story for Webster County, though, as they've been averaging 8.8 hits. Given Tygarts Valley's sizable advantage in that area, the Highlanders will need to find a way to close that gap.
Tygarts Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Webster County in their previous matchup back in March, winning 7-3. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Highlanders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
