If The Pleasanton Blu-Jays were riding high off their 40-6 takedown of the Northern Heights Wildcats last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Pleasanton had to suffer through a rough 68-13 loss at the hands of St. Mary's-Colgan. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Pleasanton in their matchups with St. Mary's-Colgan: they've now lost three in a row.
Although Pleasanton took the loss, they still got scores from Jeffry Cayton and Tony Gillespie.
St. Mary's-Colgan's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tucker Harrell, who threw for 115 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Klayton Adamson, who gained 103 total yards and three touchdowns.
Pleasanton has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for St. Mary's-Colgan, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Pleasanton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. St. Mary's-Colgan will square off against Jayhawk Linn at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Jayhawk Linn is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
