The South Fork Cubs pushed their score all the way to 58 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 70-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hoopa Valley. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as South Fork came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 476th, while Hoopa Valley is ranked 1008th).
Hoopa Valley can attribute much of their success to Lyle Mckinnon, who scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mckinnon has scored all season. Brian Richards was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
South Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Hoopa Valley, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-12.
South Fork does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hoopa Valley also has no future games currently scheduled.
