Rincon/University was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 62-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tucson High Magnet School Badgers. Rincon/University's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jonah (Sam) O'Dowd, who went 6 for 9 en route to 16 points and six rebounds. O'Dowd has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Luis Blanco Ruiz, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards.
Leading Tucson High Magnet School to victory were Tavion Okougbo and Xavier Grajeda. Okougbo went 7 of 8 on his way to 15 points and four steals, while Grajeda posted 18 points.
