Bedford waltzed into their matchup  on Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They came out on top against the Huron Chiefs by a score of  2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Kicking Mules, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 While Bedford won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the  second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14,  25-23.
 Lucy Monahan paced Bedford's offense, picking up six kills. Monahan were helped by Cady Fischer and  Olivia Eby, who contributed eight assists each. Finally,  Monahan was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.
Bedford's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Huron,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 6-3-1.
 Bedford will have some time to savor their  victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Skyline at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 16th. As for Huron, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  game,  a  3-0  defeat against St. Mary Catholic Central on the 8th.
