The Ridgway Elker took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They snuck past Union with a 38-33 win. For Ridgway, this counts as revenge for the 57-42 loss Union walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Union's loss came despite strong showings from Dawson Camper and Owen Bish. Camper scored 8 points along with 11 rebounds, while Bish scored 6 points along with 3 steals. Camper is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season.
Ridgway's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Union, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridgway will take on St. Marys at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Union, they will be playing at home against Venango Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
