The St. Anthony Bulldogs will square off against the Altamont Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. St. Anthony is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

St. Anthony was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Flora on Tuesday. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Wolves with a sharp 13-2 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Xander Beals made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Beals was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.

In other batting news, Brock Fearday and Brady Hatton did most of the damage at the plate: Fearday went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Hatton went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI Fearday has posted since back in May of 2024. Will Fearday was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

St. Anthony was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .478. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Altamont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cisne.

Altamont's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for St. Anthony, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

St. Anthony skirted past Altamont 3-2 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
