It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 76-38, which was the final score in Mt. Rainier's tilt against Auburn on Tuesday. Mt. Rainier has struggled against Auburn recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Mt. Rainier's loss came about despite a quality game from Zach Luz, who scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. The contest was Luz's third in a row with at least ten points. Chris Martinez was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
Meanwhile, Kentridge humbled Kentlake with a 70-34 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Kentridge.
Their wins bumped Mt. Rainier to 1-2 and Auburn to 4-0.
