The Holy Cross Crusaders will head out on the road to take on the Naugatuck Greyhounds at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Holy Cross knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 matches -- so hopefully Naugatuck likes a good challenge.
Holy Cross pushed their score all the way to 64 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to Conard on the road by a decisive 78-64 margin.
Meanwhile, Naugatuck pushed their score all the way to 63 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 73-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of Torrington. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (56), Naugatuck still had to take the loss.
Holy Cross' loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3. As for Naugatuck, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.
Everything came up roses for Holy Cross against Naugatuck in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 70-41 victory. Does Holy Cross have another victory up their sleeve, or will Naugatuck turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
