The De La Salle Collegiate Pilots will head out on the road to face off against the St. Francis de Sales Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. De La Salle Collegiate will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
De La Salle Collegiate's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over Detroit Country Day. The Pilots haven't had any issues with the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Mason Pilarski, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. John Bismack also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
De La Salle Collegiate was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .469. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, St. Francis de Sales won against Southview on Saturday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. Everything went the Knights' way against St. John's Jesuit as they made off with an 11-2 victory. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.
Tommy Woycik spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits.
At the plate, Cole Provaznik and Nick Hood did most of the damage at the plate: Provaznik went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run, while Hood went 1-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Hood is becoming a predictor of St. Francis de Sales' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 7-8 when he doesn't). Brady Mitchey was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
De La Salle Collegiate's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-5. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for St. Francis de Sales, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.
St. Francis de Sales' pitching crew better be locked in on Friday. De La Salle Collegiate hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. It's a different story for St. Francis de Sales, though, as they've been averaging only 0 home runs. Will they be able to keep De La Salle Collegiate in the park?
De La Salle Collegiate might still be hurting after the 11-1 defeat they got from St. Francis de Sales when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Pilots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
