The First Preparatory Christian Academy Highlanders entered their tilt with the Memorial Day Matadors with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. First Preparatory Christian Academy strolled past Memorial Day with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 64-49. This was a revenge game for First Preparatory Christian Academy, as the team was forced to settle for a 59-53 defeat when these two played last Tuesday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead First Preparatory Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brandon Betton, who scored 13 points along with seven steals and five assists. Betton has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Moore, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
First Preparatory Christian Academy's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-7. As for Memorial Day, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
First Preparatory Christian Academy will look to defend their home court on Friday against Twiggs Academy at 6:00 p.m. Memorial Day on the road again on Monday and play against Coastal HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th. Coastal HomeSchool will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
