Deer Trail might have drawn first blood against Genoa-Hugo on Friday, but it was Genoa-Hugo who got the last laugh. Deer Trail found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 31-52 punch to the gut against Genoa-Hugo. This makes it the second loss in a row for Deer Trail.
The defeat dropped Deer Trail's record to 1-2. The victory bumped Genoa-Hugo's record up to 1-2.
Deer Trail will stay at home next week against Edison at 7:00 PM. As for Genoa-Hugo, they will face off against Hanover.
