It was a good run, but West Allis Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Pewaukee Pirates by a score of 77-74. The Bulldogs lost against the Pirates in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 79-55 score last time.

West Allis Central's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-3. As for Pewaukee, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

West Allis Central will finish 2024 at home by hosting Oshkosh North at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. West Allis Central knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Oshkosh North likes a good challenge. As for Pewaukee, they will head out to take on Homestead at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
