On Thursday, Liberty suffered a tough 69-47 defeat at the hands of Parkville. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Liberty has scored all season.
Parkville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Anthony Council out in front who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Council scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Chima Egeonu, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds.
Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Parkville, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.
Liberty will be playing at home against Francis Scott Key at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Francis Scott Key will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while Liberty is ranked 105th). As for Parkville, they will head out on the road to face off against Owings Mills at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Owings Mills is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
