If Pima was feeling good  fresh off their  3-0 takedown of Leading Edge Academy - GEC last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Roughriders took  a  3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. David Tigers on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Roughriders of the  3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in October of 2024.
 While Pima had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 20-25, 25-20,  25-22.
Pima's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for St. David, the  win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-11.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming  matchups. Pima will get a bit of extra time to process the  defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Gilbert Classical Academy at 6:00  p.m.  on  the 10th. As for St. David, they will head out to  challenge Valley Union  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
