That result was just more of the same for these two, as John Carroll Catholic also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2022.
John Carroll Catholic got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brandon James out in front who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Pat Silas, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
John Carroll Catholic's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8. As for St. Edward's, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Okeechobee and John Carroll Catholic are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads. As for St. Edward's, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pineapple Cove Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pineapple Cove Classical Academy is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
