Hunt was the 3-0 winner over Princeton when they last played one another back in August of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday.
While Hunt ultimately came up short, they really made Princeton work, particularly in the third set. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-16, 26-24, 20-25, 16-14.
Princeton had a senior duo take command as Addison Taylor had four digs, two aces, and one block and Alaina Boggs had seven aces and one assist. Taylor is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 20 or more in each of the last 12 games she's played dating back to last season.
Hunt's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
Looking ahead, Hunt will face off against Bunn at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Princeton, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Southern Wayne at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
