The Jackson Generals lost against the Miami Beach Hi-Tides back in December of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Jackson fell 60-53 to Miami Beach. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Jackson has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Jackson still got an impressive performance from Jordany Fils-Aime, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. Fils-Aime scored a full 45.3% of Jackson's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Robert Carr, who scored seven points.
It was another big night for Baptiste T, who scored 27 points for Miami Beach. The contest was T's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Isaiah Lieberperson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Jackson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Miami Beach, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jackson's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Edison at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. Edison comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Miami Beach won't have much time to rest: their next game is against JC Bermudez Doral at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th.
