Antioch will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against San Leandro at 7:00 PM. If the game is anything like the 44-54 finish from the last time they met, the scorekeeper will be kept real busy.
Antioch had a bit more than a touchdown to spare in a 37-27 win over California.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 9-44, which was the final score in San Leandro's tilt against Monte Vista last Friday. San Leandro were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 9-30.
Antioch's victory lifted them to 2-0 while San Leandro's loss dropped them down to 1-1. We'll find out if Antioch can add another positive mark to their record or if San Leandro can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Antioch's step.
